The bird of mystery flew down

Broken wings had grounded him

Mud cementing fragile bones

Had done it's best to bringhim home

But it needed more than this

A lot of time to gatherbreath

In the middle of it all

He would always hear the call

The bird of fantasy had tofly on

Otherwise he knew, his lifewould be done

If he didn't he knew his joywould be gone

As the bird took time to rest

He watched it all go by hisnest

He knew he had to carry on

He could not lay down forlong

They were waiting for a song

Feeding him with so manysmiles
