RESULTS OF THE KILLING CANCER ANIMATION COMPETITION

SCREENING & AWARDS DAY 13TH MARCH AT FRONTLINE CLUB, PADDINGTON, LONDON

We are pleased to announce the winners of the Killing Cancer Animation Competition.

Students from 26 Universities & Colleges took part in this competition.

Their brief was to animate a 2-minute edit of the “PDT” single Huw and Marion wrote for the Killing Cancer charity last year.

It was a tough competition!  Students’ work started in September with only 6 months given to them to complete the 2-minute animation.

Out of a total of 360 students only 60 students from 10 Universities completed the task and submitted their work. Pre-screening took place early March and 17 finalists were chosen to attend the finals.

The screening and awards day took place in London at The Frontline Club, Paddington on the 13th March.

The top prize awarded was £5,000 with 7 runners up each receiving the Adobe Full Editing suite.

The remaining finalists will all receive a year’s subscription to “Spotify”.

The winner and 7 runners up will be included on a free DVD with Huw’s long awaited new Album “Hard Graft” to be released early summer.
